The Southeast Vipassana Center, Dhamma Patāpa, is located in Jesup, GA, which is in the South Central part of Georgia in Wayne County. It is located on a property with beautiful old pine trees, oaks, and other varieties of trees and vegetation. The beauty and seclusion of this property makes for an ideal meditation environment which will serve students in the Southeast for years to come.

Instructions for Rideshare:

The Southeast Vipassana Center generates a separate rideshare board for each course, available for use by participants accepted into that course. Please check your acceptance email for the rideshare board link to your course, and for details on updating the information on the rideshare board. For any further assistance, contact the rideshare coordinators at rides@patapa.dhamma.org

Traveling by Car: Please follow the directions provided via Google Maps above, the printer friendly directions below, or by GPS using the special instructions given below. Please call the center at (912) 588-9807 if you get lost.

For older GPS: Some older GPS units do not accurately locate the Southeast Vipassana Center address, set your GPS unit to the Southeast Vipassana Center driveway on Rogers Break (31.468469 lon,-81.9058362 lat) and look for the signs to the center when nearing the destination.

Public Transportation

Bus Transport:

Greyhound Service is available
to: Hinesville / Fleming, GA (38 miles from the Center) & Brunswick, GA (44 miles from the Center). From both of these
towns, travelers will need to get a taxi to take them to the Center. Below is the taxi service information for both
of these towns. Please call several days in advance to check availability and make a reservation.

Hinesville, GA: M&L Cab 916-877-5022; approximately $65
Brunswick, GA: OnTime Taxi – 912-506-2683; approximately $80

Train Transport:

Travelers arriving at the Jesup Amtrak station should call the center at (912)588-9807 a few days before arrival to notify the management team
of the date and arrival time. We may be able to transport students to the Center
Call Wayne County Transit at least 3 days ahead of arrival 912-427-5914. Depending on their schedule, they may be able to provide
transportation. Cost is $6.00 one way
